Catholic Identity

The Catholic Institute of Technology embraces its Catholic identity and provides faculty and students with various opportunities for spiritual formation and worship:

  • Daily Mass

    Daily Mass is available at a time when no classes are scheduled, allowing all students and staff to participate in the celebration of the Eucharist.

  • Weekly Adoration and Confession

    The institute offers three weekly opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, allowing individuals to spend time in prayer and reflection before the Blessed Sacrament. Regular opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) are provided to students which allows them to grow spiritually.

  • Daily Rosary

    The Institute encourages the daily recitation of the Rosary, a powerful Marian prayer, as a means of seeking intercession and growing in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

  • Lauds and Vespers

    The Liturgy of the Hours, including Morning (Lauds) and Evening (Vespers) prayer, is offered regularly, providing individuals with structured moments of communal prayer and reflection throughout the day.

  • Weekly Men's and Women's Prayer Groups

    Separate men's and women's prayer groups meet weekly to promote fellowship and provide support for peers of the same sex.

  • Monthly Church History Immersion Trips

    The Institute organizes monthly immersion trips around Rome and Italy, allowing students and staff to explore and deepen their understanding of the rich history, art, and spirituality of the Catholic Church in these significant locations of pilgrimage.

  • Annual Spiritual Retreats

    On-campus spiritual multi-day retreats are organized annually, providing dedicated time for individuals to step away from their daily routines, engage in prayer and reflection, and receive spiritual direction. These retreats provide faculty and students with a chance to receive spiritual nourishment and deepen their relationship with God.

  • Group Pilgrimage Opportunities

    The Institute offers group pilgrimage opportunities throughout Europe and the Holy Land, enabling faculty and students to undertake journeys of prayer and penance or be enriched and nourished in their faith.
