We seek to foster a community of Catholic scientists and engineers who are well-versed in the principles of Catholic social teaching and prepared to navigate the complex ethical questions that arise in areas such as artificial intelligence and gene editing. In the next fifteen years, we aspire to undergo a transformative journey from being an esteemed undergraduate college to becoming an R1 research university with the highest degree of activity and excellence in science and engineering. As the only Catholic polytechnic institution and R1 research university, we will establish ourselves as pioneers in research and scholarship.
